State Wise Approach – Foster Care

  • Foster caring is supported through state-level schemes.
  • Out of 33 states, 6 states have no foster care system execution at all, namely Delhi, Goa, Haryana, Uttarakhand, etc.
  • 26 provinces have foster care policies– but no proper execution.
  • Various states has a different approach.
  • 3000 Rs per month– to foster parent in Gujarat (Highest provision)
    o Bihar, West Bengal, and other states also have provisions.
    o Palanhar Scheme in Rajasthan
